Jono & Kim's Wedding at Cressing Temple Barns, Braintree,Essex
Cressing Temple Barns
I met with Jono & Kim in April 2015 for a pre-wedding shoot at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, this gave me the opportunity to discuss the couples plans for their big day and to get to know one another.
Jono & Kims big day arrived on 16th April 2016, It was a cold day with a mixture of rain and bright spells. The ceremony was held in the beautiful village of Black Notley at St Peters and St Pauls church and the reception was held at the 13th Century unique buildings and barns of Cressing Temple situated between Witham and Braintree which are amongst some of the oldest Barns in England.
Jono and Kim had organised their entire wedding themselves and wanted a real country english wedding theme. I arrived for Kim’s bridal preps where the ladies were right at home in their fab matching onesies, laughing and smiling as they prepared for the big day. Kim looked stunning and her dress was gorgeous, her hair was soft and romantic and I loved the colours she had chosen for her wildflower bouquet. The bridesmaids wore pastel colour dresses which were very pretty and went well with the overall theme of the day. Jono the groom and his groomsmen were busy waiting at the church and welcoming their guests arriving. It was a wonderful ceremony and as rain was forecasted they headed off to their reception venue. The barn looked very pretty, all the lighting and flowers and shabby chic decor really set a beautiful scene and atmosphere. although we encountered some spells of rain, the sun did finally appear at the right moments where I took the lovely couple to the walled gardens for their portraits. The entertainment for the afternoon was provided by a wonderful wedding singer called James Mountford at JF Weddings & Events where Kim and her hens took to the dance floor with awesome light up letters and they were ready to rock. Speeches were shortly followed then Kim & Jono took to the dance floor for their first dance.
I loved everything about this wedding and Jono & Kim were a pleasure to photograph, natural and smiley throughout the day, massive congratulations to the happy couple and to Jody for second shooting!
